August 26^th, 2012 - Minor Link Update

Someone mentioned to us that they were having a problem accessing one of our wishlist pages (the amazon one). As best I can tell, there aren't any specific issues with the link. It seems to be routing just fine on every machine I've tested it (mac and pc). It is possible that Amazon has issues that are out of my hands though. Some testors did want the link to the Bed, Bath, and Beyond list updated, so that link has been updated. Possibly this was what the original person was referring to??? At any rate, please continue to let me know if you have trouble accessing parts of the page. You can always use the Contact Us page to drop me a line if you'd rather do that then email, call, or text.

July 12^th, 2012 - Major Site Update

Lots and lots of pages added today, as well as an update to the Wedding Party page as we've had to make a change! Someone had to unfortunately step down so we swapped some things around. Hopefully this is a more final layout of the webpage now, we just need to start filling in all of the missing data.

I've added in the following pages (descriptions too!)

• The Main Schedule Page is a time-line of sorts so you know what time things are supposed to happen when. As things get closer and closer, we think time will start to be more and more important!
• The Contact Us page will allow you to send us a message if for some reason you don't want to send Helen or I an email. Assume that we will both read it, so don't try and send anything to secret this way.
• I'm very excited to announce our electronic RSVP page where people can officially send us notice on if they plan to come to the wedding or not. Don't worry! if you haven't gotten your invitation yet, we haven't sent them yet, but I wanted this on the page well before the first person could/would want to reply. Some fancy code here, please use the contact us form, or email me if you have trouble, but it seems to be working well in all major browsers so far.
• Though we've recently had some trouble figuring out the timing of our Rehearsal Dinner, we of course needed to be able to get the information out to those who need it. So stay tuned as hopefully we'll have some more definitive information on this soon.
• Wow some people are really generous and have already been asking us what they can get us. So we went and registered at a couple of places and then posted the Registry Information so that people can find out. Thank you for any generosity in advance, it all still seems like a dream right now.
• It seems so many people love Helen that she is going to have two wedding showers! One here in Chicago and one in her hometown of Hanover, NH! Special thanks to Carol Chickering for offering to help make the Hanover shower happen!
• It seems super far away, but as time ticks away, we know that our friends won't let us get away without a bachelor party and a bachelorette party. Of course we don't have any real information them yet, but we hope to be working with our wedding party to figure that out soon.
• Two other events on either side of the wedding that we'd like to make sure information gets to everyone about are: the dinner the Friday night before the wedding (since we're assuming those traveling will be coming sometime Friday), and the Sunday morning brunch as a more casual affair where we can hang out a little bit longer, and maybe say good-byes.

Holy cow that's a lot of info!
For those interested, we've got Helen's dress now, my ring just came in the other day, and bridesmaid dresses are all ordered, and guys are all fitted for their tuxes! Heck we are almost ready for a wedding!

March 7^th, 2012 - Major Site Update

So...I've been a little bit lazy in updating the site. The first update is the addition of the Gallery Pictures of Helen and I pre-wedding. As the excitement of the wedding keeps building people wanted to see pics of Helen and I, so there ya go: Gallery of Helen and John before the wedding.

Also, though I don't want to show everyone everything, we've picked the tuxs for the guys. Special thanks to Sarah at Black Tie Formal I can't say enough how awesome her service was, and hard she worked to make sure I was comfortable in my choice.

Finally, we are super excited about Helen's family coming next week! Feels like there is a whole lot to do before then!

January 4^th, 2012 - Major Site Update

I worked hard over the Christmas break to try and get most of this up! Thought I'm not completely happy with it. It should all at least be functional and look at least nice enough. I'm hoping to continue updating things a lot. Highest on my list of things to do is to build a RVSP form submission, so you can just tell us if you're coming here on the webpage rather then waste a stamp.

If you haven't already noticed there is some basic information about some of the people who will be helping us celebrate at our wedding, the wedding venue, and nearby hotel information (for you early birds). As always, please let me know if there are major techinical problems.

December 22^nd, 2011 - Helen's Family Visits for Christmas

I should mention this is also the first update on the website, woo! Well it's nice that we have Helen's parents with us to help celebrate Christmas with us, but this also allowed for some special things like a first dress fitting for Helen with her mother, sister, and bridesmaid Kendra.
